The long awaited redesign of the Buick National sedan will soon be presented. The history of this car began in 1982. Back than, it was known as the Buick Regal. It had a reputation of a popular classy vehicle. The new Grand National aims to regain its position on the market by introducing a new, more aggressive and powerful appearance. Its biggest rivals will be Camaro and Cadillac, as well as Rolls Royce.
2015 Buick Grand National – New look
The new Buick National will look less sporty compared to the previous model. Sharp lines make it appear more serious and aggressive. On the front there is a large grille and small but efficient headlights, as well as a redesigned hood. A small spoiler is placed on the back. The interior is completely changed. The cabin offers much comfort and space for the passengers. As always, we can expect all the latest high tech and safety features, such as infotainment system, navigation and satellite radio.
2015 Buick Grand National – Engine range
Manufacturers have yet to confirm which engines will be in option for the new Buick National. According to some reports, it is possible that two different powertrains could be offered. Firstly, there is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 272 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Another, more powerful option is a 3.6-liter V6. It develops up to 320 hp and 274 lb-ft of torque. Since it is placed on the Alpha platform, the transfer will be on rear wheels. However, all-wheel drive will probably be offered optional. Transmission should be eight-speed automatic or manual.
2015 Buick Grand National – Release date and price
The company has not yet revealed when the new Buick Grand National will hit the market. According to some reports, the sales should start by the end of 2014. However, others suggest that we will have to wait until the beginning of 2015. It is estimated that the price will be around $30,000.
