From the factory of the famous Japanese car manufacturer a brand new Honda Crosstour is soon to be released. It will be based on Honda Accord and therefore it will share some similarities with this sedan. However, the new Crosstour is going to have some enhancements, especially when it comes to its appearance and fuel economy.

The Crosstour vehicle had gone through a big redesign in 2013, so this time not much has changed. The new model will be taller than the previous version, allowing more space and comfort. Front bumper and chrome grille will be redesigned, giving the care a more stylish look. Two different sets of wheels will be available – the 17 inch alloy wheels on EX and EX-L models, and 18 inch alloy wheels on the EX V6 and EX-L V6 models. The cabin of the new 2015 Honda  Crosstour is one if its best features. It offers a lot of space, quality materials and top technology. Available functions will basically be the same as in the previous model, only upgraded. Some of the functions are Bluetooth connection, auto dimming rearview mirror, USB, steering wheel mounted controls and many more.

2015 Honda Crosstour – Engine

No changes under the hood. The new 2015 Honda Crosstour will have the same engine as its predecessor. That means there will be two powertrain options. The basic model will be powered by a four-cylinder powertrain with 192 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque. The more powerful option is a 3.5-liter V6 which develops 278 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque. Basic engine will be combined with five-speed automatic transmission. According to the reports, the V6 is getting a six-speed automatic gearbox, which can also be controlled by paddle shifters. A new economy system will significantly reduce fuel consumption. It is not known whether the hybrid model will be available.

2015 Honda Crosstour – Release date and price

We should expect that the new Crosstour will be on the market by the and of this year, or early 2015. Since there are no major changes compared to the previous model, the price shouldn’t be much higher. It will probably cost slightly less than $28,000.
