2016 Audi Q5 – Changes

The second generation of the Audi Q5 will have its premiere in the year 2016. This is a medium sized crossover. It will be built together with the Q6 and therefore, it will have some similarities with that model. However, the Q5 will continue to be car that is made for families, in contrast to the Q6, which is rather sportier. The 2016 Audi Q5 will be manufactured on a brand new platform and it will feature a completely new design of the exterior, along with the introduction of the most modern gadgets and technologies.

The latest design of the Audi Q5 will be quite different than the original one. The overall shape of the car will be changed, as its angles will be more sharp, opposed to the previous, curvy design. A more aggressive front is expected to stand out, thanks to a new grille, which will now have horizontal strakes. Furthermore, new headlights will be introduced. They will have the MatrixBeam technology, which has already been used in other Audi models, and they will be narrower. The interior design of the 2016 Q5 is expected to copy the design of the latest Audi TT. That kind of design has a TFT screen, which makes it easier for the driver to use the car’s technologies, as the number of buttons is reduced.

2016 Audi Q5 – Engine

Buyers of the  Audi Q5 will be able to choose between many engines. Some of those are 2.0 l TDI engine which generates 245 HP, 3.0 V6 TDI producing 272 HP, and a powerful triple turbo 3.0 TDI V6 which is able to produce up to 354 HP and 514 lb/ft of torque. A hybrid engine will also be offered. It is a 2.0 l 4-cylinder combined with an electric motor, which is able to generate 361 HP.

2016 Audi Q5 – Release Date

The 2016 Audi Q5 is set to be released in 2016. Its price is estimated at 53.000 $.
